No one knows better how to properly repair your vehicle than the company trained to repair it by the manufacturer. Car makers seek out collision repair centers who are willing to invest in the training, equipment, and repair processes necessary to ensure that their collision repair work meets the manufacturer's exacting standards. Body shops that make and maintain this commitment earn the distinction of being Factory Certified Collision Centers. You can rest assured that, if you are ever involved in an accident, Jim Norton Toyota of OKC has invested in the equipment and training necessary to meet the standards of all Domestic and Import manufacturers.
Outlined below are just some of the investments we make in training and equipment to maintain our Factory Certification as a Collision Center.

A body shop must attain and keep the I-CAR Gold Class Professionals designation in order to be recognized by new car manufacturers as a Factory Certified Collision Center. This designation means that the body shop in question has trained its team to a high level of proficiency in each of the four processes of collision repair: structural repair, non-structural repair, paint refinishing and estimating.
In order for a collision center to achieve the Gold Class Professionals designation, at least one team member must have attained the highest level of personal recognition, I-CAR Platinum Certification, in each discipline. Both individual Platinum Certification and team Gold Class Certification must be renewed annually, and new training is required as new materials and equipment are introduced to the collision repair industry regularly.
Jim Norton Toyota of Oklahoma City is a Factory Certified Collision Center. At Jim Norton Toyota OKC, we are not satisfied with meeting the minimum to receive our certification. We believe that every customer deserves the best quality body repair work available, not just the customer who gets the one fully-trained technician by chance. As automobiles continue to be made with new technology and new materials, you can be confident that our team will have the training to properly repair it.
Beyond training, Factory Certification requires that collision centers have the tools and equipment necessary to properly return your vehicle to its pre-accident condition using the same techniques and precision that were used to build it.
Unlike most body shops, Jim Norton Toyota OKC Collision Center has invested in three-dimensional frame measuring systems, resistance spot welders, high-end paint booths, and other equipment necessary to meet the manufacturers' requirements for repair quality, fit, and finish.
The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) quality structural repair work we perform won't be visible to the naked eye, but your car will drive better and be safer because of the tools and equipment that we use. As new materials are introduced into the industry, Jim Norton will continue to invest in the equipment to properly repair them.

Not everyone who claims to be factory certified really is. Because getting and maintaining a Factory Certified Collision Center status is difficult and costly, many body shops do not make the investments in training and equipment necessary to keep certified status from year to year. These shops often continue to advertise certified status even when they no longer qualify.
